
Anja Wutte
Anja is a research assistant and lecturer in Digital Archaeology at the University of Cologne, a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Architectural Science at Vienna Technical University and a Visiting Research Fellow at Pennsylvania State University, with a background in archaeology and Egyptology. Her research interests include analysis methods for ancient Egyptian architecture and computational design.
Maria Sotomayor Chicote
Maria is a research assistant at the Department of Digital Humanities in Cologne. She is a Master Candidate in Digital and Computational Archaeology at the University of Cologne, with an interest in the application of digital methods for rock art research.
She is the Social Media Officer for CAA2026.


Gail Higginbottom
Gail is a multi-disciplinary researcher & academic in European Archaeology, Landscape Archaeology and Cultural Astronomy. She is currently a member of staff at Flinders University. More recently she was a post-doctoral researcher and is a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, a Visiting Research Fellow (Bournemouth and Adelaide) and founding member of CAA (AUS) and AAAC (Australian Association for Astronomy in Culture), a member of the MSCA Alumni Association.
Louise Tharandt
Louise completed her BSc in Prehistory and Archaeological Science specialising in archaeozoology and her MA in Archäoinformatik (Digital and Computational Archaeology) with a focus on 3D reconstruction. She worked in the field of digitisation and reconstruction of cultural heritage. Since 2024, she is developing and coordinating the program development of the SODa project at the Coordination Office for Scientific University Collections.
