Vienna is the capital and one of nine federal states of Austria. It is the cultural, economic and political center of the country and is renowned for its rich musical heritage, having been home to many celebrated classical composers. The historic center is rich in architectural ensembles, including Baroque palaces and gardens, and the late-19th-century Ringstraße, which is lined with grand buildings, monuments, and parks. In 2001, the city center was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Vienna has an extensive public transportation network, including five metro lines, trams, buses and trains. Vienna is served by Vienna International Airport, which is only a 20 minute train ride from the city centre. The railway system connects Vienna’s main station Vienna Hauptbahnhof with other European cities.
Being a major tourist destination, Vienna has plenty of accommodation available.
Please note that CAA2026 will be a fully in-person event.
