Located within Vienna’s historic centre, directly on Vienna’s Ringstrasse boulevard, the Main Building of the University of Vienna is easy to reach. Several event rooms as well as a wide range of lecture halls offering a unique and historical university setting are available.

How to get there
The main building of the University of Vienna is part of the famous Ringstraße, which runs around the historic center of Vienna, and is located close to Schottentor, an important hub for public transportation in the city. It is organised in a two-storey loop system, which is named “Jonasreindl”.
Lines 37, 38, 40, 41 and 42 turn at the basement level; above this, at ground level, is the loop for lines 43, 44, 1, 2, 71 and D. The Schottentor subway station of line U2 is accessible from the basement level. Additionally, buses of line 40A and 1A are located nearby.

Workshop Venue
On Tuesday 31 March 2026 CAA2026 will host a full day of workshops for participants. They will take place at TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology).
